THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
WOW! We are completely blown away with the generosity. It has been such an amazing 24 hours and we have well exceeded our BONUS GOAL. We can't thank you enough.
Watch this message from Rabbi Dovy to see what our Giving Day was all about:
This Giving Day replaces the Kol Nidre Appeal and donations for Alliyot. It is your way of showing support for Kehillat Kadimah, recognising everything we’ve done in the year gone by and all that we would love to do in the year ahead. This year's theme is all about "Finding Your Why."
Finding Your Why
The concept of Finding Your Why is about finding purpose, understanding motivations, articulating values and identifying what makes you connect to someone, something or an activity, be it your friends, work, sports or arts. It also relates to how you connect to your Judaism and the choice of kehillah. Even if we might not have taken the time to articulate it, everyone has their own why. This is the beauty of individuality.
However the history of our people from the Torah right through to today shows that Jews have a collective why. In the last year we have been thrust into a landscape in Israel and locally where our why has been challenged, examined and ultimately strengthened.
Kehillat Kadimah is bursting with events and activities and, outside of the schools, it is one of the most active Jewish community centres in Sydney. We are fostering a home for Modern Orthodox Judaism for across generations and working to ensure there’s something for everyone who steps into our doors. We have seen our numbers swell as people want to be part of our collective Why. So much of this momentum comes from funds received from our Giving Day!
Even though our Giving Day is over, you can still DONATE now because we’re counting on you to play a role in helping Kehillat Kadimah in the year ahead.
